As you wear your jewelry, exposure to oxygen, moisture, and oils in your skin can cause the metal to tarnish. It is completely up to you whether you choose to enjoy this naturally aged patina as it develops. To restore the shine, simply give the surface a few swipes to remove the tarnish, and enhance the details. Use the cloth included in your order until it is completely black. Do not wash your cloth, or it will loose it's "magic".

Tiny Wild jewelry is designed and handcrafted in the USA. Each piece is handcrafted using 100% recycled, green certified metals. Although we make every effort to ensure the colors and sizes are accurate, there may be slight variations due to the handmade nature of the materials.

Sterling Silver:

Sterling silver tarnishes, especially when exposed to salt air and products containing sulfur, such as rubber bands and some papers. To restore the shine, simply give the surface a few swipes with a polish clothe to remove the tarnish, and enhance the details. Don't leave your sterling silver in water, as soaking can damage the metal.

Silver Plate:

Silver plate should be treated differently than solid sterling silver. Because it is layered onto the surface of white bronze, using a polish cloth regular is discouraged. Doing this often will gradually remove the silver plating from your piece. Instead, mix 1 tsp. mild liquid dish soap with lukewarm water in a small bowl. Dip a soft cloth in the soapy water, then gently scrub your jewelry while keeping it submerged in the bowl. Concentrate on any grooves or ridges the piece may have. Don't scrub too hard, though, or you risk scratching the item. Clean the jewelry for no longer than 10 minutes, then rinse and dry it with a clean, lint-free cloth.

Brass:

Brass tarnishes, especially when exposed to salt air and products containing sulfur, such as rubber bands and some papers. To restore the shine, simply give the surface a few swipes with a polish clothe to remove the tarnish, and enhance the details. Avoid wearing your brass jewelry in any water, especially while showering, swimming in a chlorinated pool, the ocean, or contact with excessive sweat.

Sealed Brass:

Many of our brass pieces are finished with a professional anti-tarnish seal to lock in the polished surface and avoid skin irritation to sensitive skin. These piece still require special handling and care, and with time the sealed layer will eventually fade away. When needing a clean, simply wipe down with a damp soft cloth with warm water. Dry immediately after with a lint-free cloth and enjoy. Re-sealing available upon piece by piece basis. Send us an email for inquiries.

Gold Plate:

Gold plate is attached to the surface of brass by means of 100's of thin layers. For this reason, we discourage the use a traditional polish polish. Using such a cloth will gradually remove the gold layers from your piece exposing the pieces base metal.

Chain:

All of our chain is made of either sterling silver or gold fill or vermeil.
